The Batman Part 2 “Temporarily” Pauses Production

The Batman Part II has already faced several delays since the original movie came out in 2022, and now one more may be on the horizon, as director Matt Reeves has “temporarily” stepped away for personal reasons.

On Oct. 5th, Warner Bros. made a statement saying that “production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter. Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”

Principal photography on the movie, starring Robert Pattinson as the more emo than usual Caped Crusader, had begun on June 12th. In addition to Pattinson, the cast includes returning The Batman stars Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell, as well as Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jayme Lawson, Charles Dance, Gil Perez-Abraham and Sebastian Koch. The movie is currently set for a February 18th, 2028 release.
