When are the quarter-finals, and is it one game or two?
The quarter-finals are single-leg ties, played at the ground of the club drawn at home. They are scheduled for the week commencing Monday 14 December 2026, with exact dates and kick-off times to be confirmed. The semi-finals are played over two legs, in the weeks commencing 11 January and 1 February 2027. The final is scheduled for Sunday 21 March 2027. EFL competition dates.
Will the quarter-finals be on Sky Sports or ITV?
All four ties will be available live on Sky Sports or Sky Sports+. Two quarter-finals will also be shown free-to-air on ITV under its agreement with Sky. The specific ITV picks, Sky channels and kick-off times will be added when the television selections are announced.
Is there prize money for reaching the quarter-finals?
There is no separate fixed prize award for reaching or winning a quarter-final. The reported finishing-stage awards are £25,000 for losing semi-finalists, £50,000 for the runners-up and £100,000 for the winners. Those amounts do not add up round by round.
For Fleetwood and Bradford, the value of a cup run also comes from their share of net gate receipts after permitted match costs, plus any applicable television facility fees. A trip to a large Premier League ground can therefore bring a valuable payday even without a quarter-final prize cheque. Ticket income and TV fees are separate from the competition’s prize awards.
