Scouts urge Leeds to sign incomparable wonderkid wanted by Man United after ‘record-breaking 2026’
Leeds have the chance to turn a promising Premier League start into something more substantial when Newcastle visit Elland Road on Monday.
Daniel Farke’s side remain unbeaten in the league and sit level with Newcastle on five points after three matches.
Their 1-1 draw at Brighton offered encouragement, with Leeds controlled much of the first hour, going ahead through Jayden Bogle and could have built a far healthier lead before Luka Vušković equalised from a corner.
Ao Tanaka struck the crossbar, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin caused problems in the air. Leeds created enough to win, but their failure to finish Brighton off cost two points.
Wednesday’s 6-3 Carabao Cup defeat at Chelsea was far wilder.
Leeds raced into a two-goal lead before the hosts responded with six, leaving Farke with another reminder that strong periods need better control.
Newcastle will arrive with an unbeaten record of their own under Matthias Jaissle, but they have looked vulnerable, needing a late comeback against Bournemouth and only edged past Millwall in the cup.
Leeds also have a score to settle, having led three times at St James’ Park in January before Harvey Barnes struck in the 102nd minute to complete a remarkable 4-3 Newcastle win.
The corresponding game at Elland Road last season ended goalless, and Leeds have not beaten Monday’s opponents in six attempts.

Ending that run would strengthen the belief created by their solid opening weeks.
Joe Rodon remains unavailable because of his hamstring injury, but Farke has reported no fresh fitness concerns. Noah Okafor could also return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench and creating Calvert-Lewin’s goal at Chelsea.
His speed and direct running could be important against a weakened Newcastle defence.
Leeds must also make better use of Calvert-Lewin’s physical presence than they did during quieter spells at Brighton.
While Farke focuses on the three points, Leeds’ recruitment department is continuing to study players who could shape the club’s future.
Leeds alerted to 15-year-old wonderkid Gabriel Rajkovic as stunning scout verdict emerges
TEAMtalk reports that scouts have pushed Gabriel Rajkovic towards Leeds as a potential signing, with the 15-year-old Vålerenga winger attracting real attention across Europe after a ‘record-breaking 2026’.
Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be leading the Premier League interest after building detailed reports on Rajkovic and watching him during the summer, while Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Tottenham have also followed him.
Meanwhile, European heavyweights like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also mentioned as potential suitors.
Who is potential Leeds target Gabriel Rajkovic?
Rajkovic has already achieved something unusual.
He became the youngest player in Eliteserien history when he made his league debut in March at 15 years and 20 days old, and the Oslo attacker then scored his first senior league goal against Bodø/Glimt in August.
The 6 ft 2 winger has already impressed in several attacking roles too, with his versatility viewed as a major strength.
He has represented Norway at youth level despite Serbian heritage, and one scout told TEAMtalk that his “stature, two-footedness and ability to play centrally” stood out, while his flexibility on the flank was also praised.
That same scout also claimed that “there is nobody like him for his age – probably in the world at this point”.
Such praise explains the crowded race, but Leeds have reasons to remain involved, as a clearer route towards senior football could offer them a useful selling point against richer rivals.
