After winning the 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was celebrating on the top step with his handmade porcelain winner’s trophy sitting nearby. When Lando Norris slammed his champagne bottle against the podium, the vibrations sent Verstappen’s trophy into the air — and straight onto the floor.

The trophy, reportedly worth around $45,000 and taking roughly six months to manufacture, shattered at the base. Norris later apologized, while Verstappen took the whole thing in good humour. A replacement trophy was eventually made for him.

And somehow, this became one of the most unforgettable podium celebrations in F1. 😂🏆
