Everton preparing official bid for £33m star who’s keen on Premier League move
Everton are now readying a bid for a central midfielder, despite making a number of additions in the engine room during the summer transfer window.
Indeed, the Toffees set out to improve their midfield as a priority back in the summer, making three new additions, although Christian Norgaard is yet to make a real impact, having only just returned from a groin injury.

The former Arsenal man may take some time to get up to speed, given that his game time has been severely limited over the past two seasons, appearing for just 101 minutes in the Premier League during his time with the Gunners.
In the early stages of the campaign, James Garner has been one of the first names on the teamsheet, starting the last seven matches, and the five-cap England international has struck up a partnership with Harrison Armstrong.
As such, David Moyes appears to be very well-stocked in central midfield, but the Toffees remain keen on bolstering their options, and they have now entered contention to sign a Turkish Super Lig star.
Everton readying official bid for Gabriel Sara
That is according to a report from Germany, which states Everton have now expressed an interest in signing Galatasaray star Gabriel Sara, and they are preparing an official offer for the Brazilian ahead of the January transfer window.
The Merseyside club are willing to pay around €30m (£25m) for the Galatasaray maestro, but it may take around €40m (£33m) to tempt the Turkish side into a sale.
There may also be plenty of competition for the central midfielder’s signature from elsewhere, as Premier League rivals Newcastle United are preparing an offer of their own, while a number of Serie A sides are also keen.
However, a move to England may be of greater appeal to the 27-year-old, given that he has already expressed a desire to play in the Premier League, saying: “I have a dream of playing in the Premier League. There is a place and time for that. I am very happy where I am. We want to achieve good things at Galatasaray.”
The one-cap Brazil international is certainly putting himself in the shop window with his performances in the Turkish Super Lig, picking up four assists so far this season, which is the highest number in the squad.
Not only is the former Norwich City man impressive on the front foot, but he is also capable of contributing from a defensive point of view, as evidenced by an average of 5.9 recoveries per 90, which ranks him second behind Ugurcan Cakir.
Having also been lauded as a “very special player” by Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk, Sara could be an exciting signing for Everton, but bringing in a central midfielder doesn’t need to be a priority, having signed Rohl, Hackney and Norgaard during the summer.
