Arsenal are not giving up on their blockbuster deal this summer. They’ve still got Vinicius Junior in their sights and whilst a new contract remains unsigned, the Brazilian could still be on the move.
The Gunners have less than a month before their Premier League title defence gets underway and could make plenty of statement moves before then.
It’s no secret that they’ve been after a wide man, either. Even after the arrival of Christos Tzolis, the North London club could still splash the cash to welcome one of the biggest signings in their history in the form of Vinicius Jr.

If there is an opportunity to sign Vinicius Jr this summer, then Arsenal should take hold of it with both hands. The Brazilian would be a transformative arrival.
Arsenal hold direct talks with Vinicius Jr
According to ESPN Deportes journalist Rodra, as relayed by Sport Witness, Arsenal are now in direct talks with Vinicius Jr and his representatives as they work behind the scenes to secure a deal with the player before submitting any bid to be approved by Real Madrid.
The Brazilian was expected to hold contract talks with Real after the World Cup, but they are yet to take place – leaving the door ajar for those in North London.
The deal won’t come cheap if Arsenal are to formalise their interest with an offer. Earlier reports claimed that Vinicius Jr will cost a Premier League record fee this summer, which means that the Gunners will have to pay more than £127m to sign the Real Madrid star.
