The pan-India superstar’s massive global appeal is yielding good results with its advance bookings in North America, despite the full-fledged bookings not yet open! With three days remaining for the premiere, the adult drama has registered close to the $250K mark in North America.
With 3 days left for premiere shows, Yash’s film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has reached a major milestone, and it might eventually place itself on the verge of overtaking Rishab Shetty’s blockbuster contender Kantara Chapter 1 in the USA with its premiere pre-sales!
Toxic North America Pre-Sales (3 Days Before Premiere)
What makes Toxic’s performance particularly striking is its incredible screening efficiency. Yash’s film has achieved nearly equal ticket volume to Kantara Chapter 1 despite playing on less than half the shows and locations. Currently, Toxic’s advance sales are open for 739 shows in the USA, while Kantara Chapter 1 is booked for 1913 shows in the USA, three days before the premiere day!
North America Total Crosses $250K
Including Canadian territories, Yash‘s film has already gathered $250K (2.10 crore) with the total North American premiere advance sales. Currently, the Telugu dubbed version is leading the share of advance sales, indicating at a huge multi-language acceptability for the film!
Toxic VS Kantara Pre-Sales USA
In the USA, three days before the release, Kantara Chapter 1 stood at a gross collection of $230K at 421 locations for 1913 shows, selling 10K tickets. Meanwhile, for the exact time frame, and half the shows, Toxic stands at a gross collection of $210K at 276 locations for 739 shows, selling 9.7K tickets.
Currently trailing Kantara Chapter 1 by a razor-thin margin of just $20K in the USA because of a lesser show count, while having sold virtually the same number of tickets, Toxic is showing superior average occupancy per show. As remaining showtimes open up across major theater circuits, the Yash starrer is expected to witness a major surge on Monday and comfortably surpass Kantara Chapter 1 before the premiere show rolls out!
