Abu Dhabi 2021, the last lap. Hamilton and Verstappen came into the race level on points. Under the last safety car, Verstappen pitted for new softs and Hamilton stayed out on the hards he had fitted on lap 14. Verstappen passed him at Turn 5, won the race by 2.256 s and the title by 8 points (395.5 to 387.5). Rounds 2 and 3 are our simulation of the two other choices: both cars pit, or only Hamilton pits while Verstappen stays out on the hards he fitted on lap 36. A simulation, not a prediction.
