The £100,000 Engine That Dominated Formula One



Funded by Ford for Team Lotus, the Cosworth DFV engine debuted with a victory by Jim Clark in 1967. Available to customer teams for £7,500, it secured 155 Grand Prix wins between 1967 and 1985.
