Spurs want to sign “incredible” striker who’s been more clinicial than Kane

Tottenham Hotspur are now interested in signing a centre-forward, who has made a flying start to the 2026-27 campaign.

Spurs, on the other hand, have struggled in front of goal during the early stages of the season, failing to find the net in their opening four Premier League matches, and they are still yet to get their first win on the board.

Dominic Solanke bagged his first goal of the season last time out, scoring a dramatic late equaliser to rescue a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford, whereas fellow forward Richarlison has been frozen out by Roberto De Zerbi.

When asked about the Brazilian ahead of Tottenham’s home match against Coventry City on Monday night, De Zerbi said: “I don’t know, it’s not my problem any more. You have to ask (Spurs CEO) Vinai (Venkatesham)… (sporting director) Johan (Lange), it’s not my problem.

“I know as a coach I have to accept, to support, (take) pressure, to take responsibility even if it’s not my responsibility because I didn’t decide. I have not decided nothing in this situation.”

De Zerbi will be hoping Solanke is able to build on his performance against Man United against Coventry, in what has to be considered a must-win game, considering the north Londoners are currently sitting bottom of the Premier League table.

However, with Richarlison out in the cold, bringing in a new centre-forward is on the agenda, and Spurs have now emerged as potential suitors for a Bundesliga star.

Tottenham enter race to sign Younes Ebnoutalib

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham are now interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt star Younes Ebnoutalib, and they sent scouts to watch him in action in a 1-0 victory against FC Koln at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge fan of the 23-year-old, and the Germany boss recently handed him his first international call-up, in light of his impressive performances this season.

The Frankfurt marksman has bagged six goals for Frankfurt in all competitions, and he has earned major plaudits for his output from scout Jacek Kulig.

In fact, the Germany international is averaging 1.08 goals per 90 in the Bundesliga, while also displaying his ability to create chances by registering two assists. For context, that’s even better than Harry Kane’s record in the German top-flight this term. He has four goals at a rate of 0.81 per 90 minutes.

That said, this is Ebnoutalib’s first season in the Bundesliga, so Spurs should continue to monitor his performances between now and the January transfer window.

How do you feel about Tottenham targeting Younes Ebnoutalib as a potential new centre-forward?
