Paul Bettany Is Reborn on Disney+

One-time Avenger Vision has been killed and reborn more times than most MCU characters — first created in Avengers: Age of Ultron from Tony Stark’s AI program J.A.R.V.I.S., the “synthezoid” hero played by Paul Bettany evolved quickly to become a beloved hero… At least until he was killed by Thanos in Infinity War, then resurrected by his beloved Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in the series WandaVision. Now, the new Disney+ series VisionQuest will explore Vision’s next chapter, as revealed in the first trailer.
According to Disney+’s official description for the series:
“Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.”
VisionQuest, created by Terry Matalas, also features James Spader returning as Ultron (both in robot and somehow also human form). The other supporting cast members include Todd Stashwick, Ruaridh Mollica, T’Nia Miller, Emily Hampshire, Orla Brady, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and James D’Arcy as the original Jarvis. The show premieres October 14th on Disney+ — to revisit what came before, check out the 4K Steelbook release of WandaVision, available now on Amazon.
