Glasgow Rangers manager Derek McInnes is looking to make several additions to his frontline before the summer transfer window slams shut next week.
One player who looks poised to arrive at Ibrox before next Thursday’s deadline passes is Girona winger Min-su Kim, who is expected to sign in an £8.5m deal.
The Athletic’s Jordan Campbell claims that the Light Blues have triggered his release clause and the attacker is now due to travel to Scotland to undergo a medical.
That means that the wide man could potentially be available for the trip to Aberdeen next weekend, after the second leg of their Conference League play-off tie with Jablonec.
Where Min-su Kim would fit in at Rangers
The 20-year-old forward is an exciting young talent who could compete for a starting berth on the left side of McInnes’ 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 formation, fighting it out with Djeidi Gassama for a place in the side.
He is a right-footed winger who predominantly plays on the left flank so that he can cut inside onto his favoured foot to provide goals and assists, as he did on loan at Andorra in the second tier in Spain last season.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not he will be an instant upgrade on Gassama on the wing for the Scottish Premiership giants, as there was not a huge difference in their respective outputs at league level in the 2025/26 campaign.

Kim produced two more goal contributions in two more matches with his return of six goals and four assists in LaLiga 2, and he may need time to adapt to Scottish football.
Gassama, meanwhile, recently caught the eye with an impressive performance in the 5-1 win over St Mirren in the League Cup, scoring and assisting a goal for the Gers.
Kim, therefore, may start his career at Ibrox on the bench behind Gassama in the short-term, until he can prove that he is capable of outperforming him on a consistent basis.
Rangers in talks to sign a bigger talent than Kim
Whilst the South Korean gem may not be an instant upgrade for McInnes, the club are looking at another winger who is an even bigger attacking talent.
According to Rangers Review, the 49ers are interested in a deal to bring Brighton & Hove Albion forward Amario Cozier-Duberry to Glasgow Rangers before the deadline.
The report claims that the Light Blues are in live talks with the Premier League side over a move to sign the left-footed winger to bolster McInnes’ squad.
It adds that they are yet to advance in their talks with Brighton and are set to reassess the situation after the deal to sign Kim is officially completed.
Cozier-Duberry, who is valued at £10m, would be a fantastic and much-needed signing for the Scottish giants because Daisuke Yokota is currently the only left-footed winger at the club.
The 21-year-old ace could arrive as an even better option than the Japanese forward after his impressive performances on loan at Bolton in the 2025/26 campaign.

His return of 18 goals and assists in League One for Bolton last term suggest that he has the potential to offer a greater threat than Yokota in front of goal, possibly making himself a better starting option for Rangers.
That means that he could be more likely than Kim to make a positive impact as a regular starter if he signs for the Light Blues before the end of the summer transfer window, given the battle with Gassama to start on the left.
Cozier-Duberry also looks like a bigger talent than Kim because of his goal contributions last term, as he scored two more goals and provided six more assists, despite playing six fewer matches.
The English youngster, therefore, would arrive at Ibrox as a more effective attacking outlet on the flank, because he boasts a greater threat as both a scorer and a creator of goals from a wide position.
That is why McInnes should push for the club to quickly agree a deal for Cozier-Duberry after getting a deal for Kim over the line, to ensure that he has all the tools that he needs to mount a title charge this season.
