Gypsy Rose Blanchard Responds To Ken Urker’s Sister Autumn – And Drops Her Own Claims
Last week, Ken Urker tragically passed away on his birthday.
The father of Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s daughter Aurora was found dead in his Louisiana residence on Thursday evening.
His death was sudden, shocking, and horribly heartbreaking. This was a son, a father, a brother, a friend, a “soulmate” and more.
Gypsy Rose spoke out shortly after the news broke on Friday, telling TMZ:
“Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”
Ken’s sister Autumn, however, had her own thoughts about Gypsy Rose.
In statements since her brother’s death, Autumn has claimed Ken and Gypsy Rose were fully broken up when he died. (Gypsy Rose says they were simply taking time apart but were still planning on moving into a new apartment together.) Autumn said her family has been “disgusted” with Gypsy Rose’s statements about Ken, alleging Gypsy Rose and Ken had a lot of problems — many of which Autumn has seemingly blamed on GR.

Reacting to her comments, Gypsy Rose now tells UsWeekly:
“At this time, I do not want the focus surrounding Ken’s passing to become centered on negativity or disagreements between Autumn and me. It is no secret that Autumn did not approve of Ken’s relationship with me, and there has been significant tension between us, including public comments she made about me in the months leading up to his passing.”
She also claimed Autumn’s strife with her was heavily affecting Ken:
“During my final phone conversation with Ken on Monday, September 28, he told me that he was deeply distressed by the situation. [He] said that Autumn had repeatedly threatened to ‘go harder’ publicly and further contribute to the negative commentary and scrutiny he was already experiencing. Those were Ken’s statements to me, and I can only speak to what he personally communicated.”
Steering the conversation away from Autumn and toward her goal of enacting change in Ken’s name, Gypsy Rose has now started a Change.org petition in hopes of getting social media companies to take bullying reports more seriously. She’s said that Ken received an insane amount of hate comments across sites like Reddit, TikTok, and more leading up to his death, and she hopes his passing can at least be the catalyst for positive change in regards to social media:
“I would much rather use my voice to focus on that work and on preserving Ken’s legacy than continue a public family dispute. I sincerely hope everyone can allow Ken to be remembered for the person and father he was rather than allowing disagreements among those who loved him to overshadow his life.”
