Goblin Cock Announce First Album in Eight Years, Unveil Single “Remains”

Goblin Cock have announced, Traumanaut, their first new album in eight years. Ahead of the LP’s October 9th release via Joyful Noise Records, the band has unveiled the melodic and heavy lead single “Remains.”

“Remains” skews away from the doom the band is known for, landing closer to alternative rock with a heftier guitar tone or a much brighter take on stoner metal. It shows the Goblin Cock evolving to hew closer to Pinback, the main band of its main mind Lord Phallus.

The lyrical direction of the song also cuts more emotional and less comedic, featuring a refrain of “When they dragged the waves for remains / they didn’t have to show them to me,” a far cry from their earlier songs about Snuffleupaus and Godzilla.
