The revelation that fans might soon get a Dolly hologram came as part of a longer interview about her recent health issues. She reassured fans that while she was dealing with health concerns, which were not spelled out in detail, she’s still working on projects like her Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville and SongTeller Hotel.

Parton is the most recent high-profile music act to announce she’s creating an avatar version of herself.

The family of Ozzy Osbourne announced an interactive digital avatar of the Black Sabbath singer is in production via Hyperreal. His son, Jack Osbourne, has insisted the avatar is not going to be “fucking lame,” while widow Sharon Osbourne has said her late husband loved the idea, and they’d been talking about an avatar for a decade.
