Crystal Palace are readying a late move for Jarrod Bowen, despite the forward signing a new West Ham United contract earlier this summer.
Bowen couldn’t have been blamed for leaving West Ham following their relegation to the Championship, considering his stellar goal and assist record since moving to the London Stadium indicates he would be more than capable of playing for a top Premier League club.

However, the Englishman signed a revised contract back in July, which was expected to keep him at West Ham until the end of the 2026-27 season, despite the expiry year of 2030 remaining the same.
At 29-years-old though, the West Ham star may be keen to carrying on playing at the highest level, and a move to Selhurst Park could be an attractive proposition, with the Eagles set to take part in the Europa League this season.
The former Hull City’s man record of 20 goal involvements in the Premier League term was higher than any Palace player, as Jean-Philippe Mateta topped the charts with 12. He received major plaudits after scoring in the Hammers’ 1-1 draw against Brighton last season.
As the speculation surrounding Mateta’s future continues, Pierre Sage could do with bringing in another forward, and the 22-cap England international is an experienced Premier League player who could be a real statement signing.

According to a report from The Sun, Crystal Palace are now preparing a late £50m bid for Bowen, with a view to getting a deal done before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
The Eagles are planning to sell Ismaila Sarr, which means Steve Parish will need to bring in a new right-winger, and the West Ham forward is regularly deployed in that position, although he is also capable of playing as a centre-forward.
Sarr is keen on a move to Galatasaray, with the Turkish giants looking to get a £34m deal over the line soon, which means Palace should be able to fund a move for the West Ham captain, as they look to capitalise on the Irons’ financial difficulties.
However, Sage may be disappointed to lose the Senegal international, considering he was one of the South Londoners’ most important players last season, scoring 21 goals in all competitions.
