A circuit gets one sprint, ever. This is the weekend #Shorts #F1 #Formula1 #DutchGP #F1Data
Zandvoort returned to the Formula 1 calendar in 2021 and held conventional race weekends in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Not one of them was a sprint weekend.
The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix is a sprint weekend. It is also the last Dutch Grand Prix on the calendar, so the circuit will hold exactly one sprint in its entire Formula 1 history.
It is a small thing and completely useless, which is the sort of number this channel exists for. A circuit that raced Formula 1 for thirty years before the format existed, came back for five years without one, and gets exactly one on the way out.
Source: All figures are computed from this project’s own FastF1 race pull by overtake_ledger.py, which classifies every position change as a pit cycle, a place inherited from a retirement, a change on a non-green lap, or a real on-track pass. The detector was validated against an independent account before use: it returns exactly three on-track passes for Oliver Bearman – Bortoleto on lap 58, Alonso on lap 60, Gasly on lap 63 – the same three drivers, in the same order, that Haas F1 Team’s own race recap names.
