BREAKING: Cadillac Reportedly For Sale And Horner Could Be Circling
Cadillac’s Formula 1 team is reportedly up for sale at an asking price of at least $3 billion, before it has scored a single point, and this video asks whether Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team principal, is circling.
On Monday 2 November 2026, Sportico’s Kurt Badenhausen reported that Mark Walter, whose TWG Global controls the Cadillac F1 Team, is shopping it with an asking price of at least $3 billion and at least seven interested parties, citing three people familiar with the process. Bloomberg followed, reporting that buyers have begun circling but that TWG has not agreed a deal or announced a sale. General Motors declined to comment. In August, TWG said it was not considering a sale. No report has linked Horner to a bid. This video lays out why he fits: his search for a stake and control since Red Bull sacked him in July 2025, the Alpine stake Otro Capital valued at around $3 billion, and his new role advising Oakley Capital, and why General Motors is the biggest obstacle for any buyer.
What’s covered in this video:
– Sportico’s report: Mark Walter shopping Cadillac at $3 billion or more, with seven interested parties.
– Bloomberg’s follow-up, and why nothing is official yet.
– TWG’s August statement that it was not considering a sale.
– Walter’s wider sell-off: the Lakers, Chelsea, the Los Angeles Sparks, and the federal investigations Sportico reported.
– What a buyer gets: the $450 million dilution fee, $1 billion-plus build cost, a $400 million loss and zero points.
– Horner’s own words on a comeback, to The Guardian and at the Autosport Business Exchange in New York.
– The Alpine stake, MSP Sports Capital, Renault’s veto and the $3 billion valuation.
– Every door that shut: Aston Martin, Haas, BYD, and his Oakley Capital role.
– Horner’s 2023 “who’s going to pay for it?” jab at Andretti Cadillac.
– Why General Motors is the biggest obstacle for any buyer.
– My verdict, and the prediction that proves me wrong.
Common questions answered: Is the Cadillac F1 team for sale? Sportico and Bloomberg report Mark Walter is shopping it with an asking price of at least $3 billion; TWG has not confirmed a sale and General Motors declined to comment. Is Christian Horner buying Cadillac? No report links him to a bid. This video argues why he fits and predicts his name will be attached to one before the end of 2026. How many points have Cadillac scored in 2026? None. The team is last in the constructors’ championship in its first season.
Mentioned in this video: Christian Horner (former Red Bull team principal), Mark Walter (TWG Global, Los Angeles Dodgers owner), Kurt Badenhausen (Sportico), Dan Towriss (TWG Motorsports CEO), Graeme Lowdon (former Cadillac team principal), Valtteri Bottas (Cadillac driver), Sergio Perez (Cadillac driver), Lawrence Stroll (Aston Martin owner), Joshua Kushner, Bob Iger, Cadillac F1 Team, General Motors, TWG Global, Alpine, Renault Group, Otro Capital, MSP Sports Capital, Oakley Capital, BYD, Haas, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Andretti Cadillac, Jaguar Racing, Los Angeles Lakers, Chelsea, Los Angeles Sparks, Sportico, Bloomberg, ESPN, The Guardian, Sky News, Sky Sports, BBC Sport, The Race, RACER, the FIA, 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix, Autosport Business Exchange.
⚖️ The Verdict: Christian Horner should be circling Cadillac, and I’d bet he already is. It’s control, it’s in America, and it comes with a factory and a works engine on the way. But I don’t think he gets it at $3 billion, and I don’t think anybody gets it without General Motors saying yes. If Horner’s name isn’t attached to a Cadillac bid by a major outlet before the end of 2026, I’m wrong, and I’ll say so.
