Everton looking to re-sign £100k-per-week star in January
Everton are weighing up their January options, with this week’s transfer chatter throwing up some very different ways to strengthen David Moyes‘ squad.
Finding another striker remains a pressing job, and Vitor Roque is the latest name drawing attention, but Kelvin Yeboah offers another route.
The Minnesota United striker has scored 18 MLS goals this season, with reports suggesting the Toffees are firm contenders to sign him in January.
There are concerns Minnesota could demand more money because rival clubs know how badly Moyes needs help for Thierno Barry, and that makes finding the right price every bit as important as finding the right player.

The scouting net has also stretched to Sweden.
Sport Witness reported on Monday, citing Africafoot, that Everton are among the clubs to have watched BK Häcken’s promising young defensive midfielder Abdoulaye Doumbia.
Doumbia, 19, has reportedly attracted interest from several European sides, with Sunderland and Celtic also following him.
Now, an old favourite has returned to the conversation.
Everton eye Richarlison return but face £100,000-per-week wage problem
ESPN Brasil journalist Bruno Andrade reports that Everton want to bring Richarlison back in January. However, the numbers threaten to spoil the reunion.
The Mirror has previously put his Tottenham wages at around £100,000-per-week, and Andrade says Everton are unwilling to match his current salary.
Fulham are also interested but face the same difficulty, leaving the Premier League pair at a financial disadvantage.
Richarlison is currently more attracted to Turkey, with Galatasaray and Trabzonspor indicating they could offer improved terms, but Andrade stresses that formal January offers from those clubs have yet to arrive.
The Brazilian, 29, has also split from CAA Base and is handling his future without an official agent. According to Andrade, prospective representatives must produce an actual club offer before he will consider appointing them.
For Everton supporters, the attraction of seeing him back is easy to understand.
Richarlison scored 53 goals in 152 appearances during his first spell, before joining Spurs in a £60 million move in 2022, and he has since scored 32 times in 134 senior appearances for Tottenham, although his opportunities have dried up this season.
Spurs omitted him from their Premier League squad in September, and his contract is due to expire in June 2027, leaving an experienced forward needing a fresh start and Everton needing another reliable option up front.
Moyes would be getting someone who already understands the club and the demands of English football, but he would also be taking on a player who has spent months short of regular competitive action.
For Everton, there are arguments for and against a homecoming for the South American, and Moyes’ side must weigh them carefully.
