Burnley and West Ham fans make their feelings known as their sides’ winless run extends to three league games.
Fair to say it’s been a disappointing start to life back in the second tier for these two clubs relegated from the Premier League last season. The other team to have gone down, Wolves, are unbeaten in their opening three.
The Clarets suffered a 4-1 defeat away at Norwich and ended the game with 10-men, Mohamed Toure opening the scoring two minutes in, Andre Brooks doubled on 5 minutes, then Toure made it three for the Canaries on 21 minutes.
Josh Laurent got Burnley one back on 27 minutes, but Brooks got his second and Norwich’s fourth with just over 20 minutes of the second half remaining, then Laurent got sent off shortly after.
Burnley’s players look hesitant and embarrassed to head over to the away end, and so they should. But they do eventually to hear the music.
Plenty of hand gestures and booing, also some applause.#twitterclarets

FT: Norwich 4-1 Burnley
First back-to-back Championship defeats since April 2013.
In bottom 3 and already below Southampton, despite -4 deduction. Still winless since February.
9 conceded already, compared to 16 in entirety of 2024/25.
In short, horror show.#twitterclarets pic.twitter.com/iDxiYR3BsO

Meanwhile for West Ham, they are still on the search for their first win of the season, holding on to a 1-1 draw away at Watford.
Amin Nabizada put the Hornets one up on the 19th minute, before a Mattie Pollock on goal just beofre the half hour mark had the Hammers level.
West Ham ended up being booed off with a chant of ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ sang from the away end come full time.

Here’s how social media users reacted after Burnley and West Ham fans make feelings known as their sides’ winless run extends to three league games…
@WestHam_Central: Pathetic.
@BradWhiting94: Nuno has to go. He’s easily one of the worst managers we’ve ever had. He got us relegated last season and nothing has changed over the summer. We can’t defend and we’re clueless going forward. 1 shot on target in 90 minutes… Get him out now!!!!!!
@whuchr: Again clearly better players but cmon we should be walking this and can’t help but feel we would with a different approach. Wolves will batter us and that might be that because we won’t be getting auto’s like this.
@WestHamBrief: It’s going to be a very long season….
@IronsFC1895: Disgraceful we have 2 points from 3 games. 62% possession 1 shot on goal. It’s not good enough. Other teams are scoring 3, 4 and 5 goals, we needed an own goal to get a point. We are 5 points behind Wolves already and let’s be honest we didn’t play well against them last season! Lose next week and that’s 2 points from 12 games. Relegation form that is.
@rsaich: Sack him… I’ve seen enough…
@WestHamJoshV: Matty Pollock for Watford today showed the exact type of character that West Ham miss massively. Old school, no thrills defender – perfect for The Championship. Proper leader. Becoming more apparent West Ham by the week that this is non existent in the current West Ham squad.
@td67coyi: Seriously west ham, just sack him cos its coming at some point. Nuno is terrible. He’s no idea.
@ewanirons62: We have no fucking hope of going back up, just fucking depressing
@lee_sifford: What a load of shit 💩 How Nuno is still in charge is beyond belief….we won’t be going straight back up that’s for sure
@FLX2799: Honestly just get this guy outta here man. We’re now below Southampton who started the season on -4 points
@Masteracky86: Painful to watch again. 19 game winless run now but to lose 4-1 against a team that were pointless in the league beforehand and to gift them 2 goals so early is embarrassing. It’s getting worse on a weekly basis and we look like double relegation candidates as is stands. #twitterclarets
@BostockMatthew: Hope the happy clapp fans of alan pace and jj fuck off watt are happy. Hayen out
@Gwills18: Fucking piss poor – from top down. An embarrassment the lot of them today.
@M_Mac008: Why do people seem to love JJ watt? What’s he done that’s so special? Club is going backwards rapidly, Pace out, ALK out, sack the board, sack the back room staff, not getting into Hayen…. yet! Problems throughout the club.
@bex1882: Get the manager out and get @AlanPaceBFC out. Buying another club whilst we was in trouble was never the best idea. Let @JJWatt take the rains. We are fucking wank
