The filmmaker opened up about the tentative third installment and, according to reports, made the announcement during a recent appearance. The director said that the third film is happening, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer is also reportedly supporting the development of the threequel. Jon said, “I have not said anything before this, but you deserve to have the scoop.” He continued, “It’s happening. You’re the first people I’ve said this out loud to.
