7-goal attacker now desperate to complete Celtic “dream” this summer

Ahead of what has to be a busy summer transfer window for the Bhoys, a seven-goal attacker has told Celtic that he wants to realise his Parkhead “dream”.

7-goal attacker wants Celtic “dream”

The first item on Celtic’s to-do list will be finding a new manager. As much as Martin O’Neill has rolled back the years at times, the 74-year-old is not a long-term option.

Instead, that’s exactly what Roberto Martinez could be. The Portugal manager is set to leave his current role at the end of the World Cup and reports have claimed that he’s a candidate for the Celtic job.

The Old Firm both want him.

The former Everton boss recently had his own say on his future, saying on the Overlap: “I don’t know, that’s the truth. I can never plan my career. I could never imagine what I have experienced. So, I have always been that when it’s the right time, it’s the right project.”

Whether a move to Glasgow is the right project remains to be seen. It’s certainly one that will need a lot of work, whether it’s Martinez who arrives or another option.

The second item on Celtic’s to-do list is then likely to be focused on any incomings, particularly in attack. The Bhoys have been far too blunt going forward this season and have already set their sights on the likes of Tyrese Campbell.

There’s also a chance that they find some internal options to solve their problems. Luis Palma recently revealed that he’s desperate to realise his Celtic “dream” and take hold of a “second chance” to impress.

Palma is somewhat of a forgotten man in Glasgow, but he’s just sent a reminder about his desire to impress.

On loan at Lech Poznan in Poland, the winger has scored seven goals and created another eight in all competitions this season, sparking a brutally honest interview about his Celtic future, as relayed by Daily Record.

“I had a great time at Celtic; I really enjoyed it. I’d like a second chance; I’m still under contract with them, I’m still part of the club, and if they say I need to come back, I’ll do my very best. My dream is to return to a top-flight league; for me, the Scottish league was a top-flight league.

“I got to play in the Champions League, which is what every player wants to do – that dream hasn’t died yet. I want to feel that sensation of playing in a match like that again.”

A new manager will mean a new chance to impress for the 26-year-old, but he will need to do better than the 10 goals and 10 assists that he’s managed in 48 previous Celtic games.
