Fifa world rankings: Wales overtake England

Wales have moved up to 11th and become the highest-ranked home nation in the latest Fifa world rankings, following their run to the semi-finals of this summer’s European Championships.

Chris Coleman’s side, who were 26th in the world before the tournament, climbed 15 places to sit just outside

England, who suffered a shock knockout in the Euros’ round-of-16 to Iceland, dropped two places into 13th.

Iceland, meanwhile, climbed 12 places up to 22nd, following their run to the quarter-finals of the competition.
