Dannii Minogue ‘in talks’ to return to the ‘X Factor’

It’s been reported that former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is ‘in talks’ with bosses at ITV, which could see her make a dramatic return to The X Factor when filming for the auditions begin next month.

After recently splitting up with boyfriend of four years Kris Smith, Dannii is apparently keen to return to the show following the upheaval in her personal life.

Although, despite Dannii and Simon Cowell‘s disclosed affair, which was revealed in an unauthorised biography this month, it is said to be irrelevant to the decision and Simon is keen to see her return to the show.

A source told The Sun: “Simon has always been a fan of Dannii’s, and she is keen for a return to Britain after the end of her relationship with Kris.”

They added: “Rejoining the X Factor would be ideal. Producers are really keen to make it happen, and Dannii’s team feel it would be the perfect move”

It’s not certain whether or not Dannii would be able to fit the job in with her busy schedule due to her continued commitment to Australia’s Got Talent, as it would clash with the audition period of The X Factor. However ITV bosses are said to be so keen to see Dannii return that they would be willing to let her skip a part of the auditions.

If Dannii did return to the talent show it would see her take the place of last years judge Kelly Rowland who is said to ’95 per cent’ unlikely to be returning to the show.
